  1. hey man, nice work but, its nesscesary the option -A for activation of seamlessrdpshell.exe and work with independet windows…

  2. I’m dying to use your dirwatch program. It’s perfect for my needs. The file closed and serialize command execution options are very unique. The only directory watcher program I can find that has something close to these features is $80! Thanks for offering a free alternative.

Unfortunately, I’m running Windows XP SP3 and I can’t get the dirwatch service to run. It starts then immediately stops. These are the event log errors:

“The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Dirwatch.exe ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The operation completed successfully.”

Then I get Event ID 771, could not load driver.

Am I missing a .NET framework version dependency? I would love to get this running and I appreciate any suggestions you can offer.

    Thanks,
    Dason

  3. Hi,
I just gave your dirwatch a try.
While forcing file changed in a monitored directory, dirwatch seems to produce a memory leak. The process is growing with each monitored event.

    Any hints?

  4. don’t judge me by my early website

    thank you for compiling rdesktop

I haven’t had much success with the dependencies and cygwin

was wondering if you were interested in compiling rdesktop 1.6 for cygwin

  5. You asked a math question on StackOverflow that was closed, so I thought I’d answer your question here.

The sum of two uniform random variables is a triangle random variable, so you can find the distribution of the sum of N triangular random variables by finding the distribution of the sum of 2N uniform random variables. The distribution for sums of uniform random variables is given here: http://www.johndcook.com/blog/2009/02/12/sums-of-uniform-random-values/

  6. Just happened upon your site and am delighted to find a few missing details for my family tree and your notes on the parish records linked to it. My grandmother, Dorothy was a January directly descended from William (B1812) and jane Clark through their son John who married Emma Evelyn Williams. (you don’t have this marriage on your chart). John was uncle to Charles Percy who is obviously your line.

Have only recently started delving into the January’s but am hooked! I have been up to Harston and Haslingford today to have a nosey around Back lane which is where a lot of the January clan lived in 1881. Unfortunately the church was closed.
Where did you find the parish records?
    Regards
    Deborah
